Inspiration doesn't come to you when you need it. Inspiration creeps in from the depths of the night, from long bus rides and waiting rooms. It comes at the top of mountains, across deserts, the ocean's depths, it comes with challenge.
I could write all day and quote the world's most inspirational and influential people but if it doesn't speak to you it's just noise. No amount of grammar, writing technique, reading or psychology will let me convince you what you don't already believe, it's all you, and it always will be. When it comes to beliefs there is only one way to be wrong: if you are borrowing another persons. That isn't to say that you cant believe the things that other people do, but you need to truly believe them, not just follow.
The point of religion isn't to gain riches or followers or power or anything that today it may be gaining. The true, honest, original point of religion is to inspire and instil a sense of hope and awe. You don't need to pick a church or a spiritual group or movement to gain those benefits, you just need to tell yourself honestly what you believe. There is nothing wrong with believing in two religions. There is nothing wrong with not believing in a higher power at all. There is nothing wrong with just plain believing, in something that you can't even identify. Just figure it out.
Read some books. Do some research, if you don't know about other beliefs, you may be missing out on something you really connect with. It's not about finding what is true, it's about finding what inspires you. Because life is nothing if uninspired.
